Welcome to City of Springhill
Springhill, Louisiana... Strong Community,
Good Life....A Place to Call Home!
In Springhill, Louisiana we are defined less by boundaries on a map than by the sense of shared values our residents hold dear. Small town values, guided growth, preservation of historical, cultural, and natural heritage are just a few of the core principles that make City of Springhill a wonderful place to call home.

GARBAGE RATE INCREASE
EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 13, 2023
FROM $15.00 TO $20.00
The garbage rate will increase from $15.00 to $20.00 a month which will be reflected on the City of Springhill water bill that goes out at the end of February 2023 and is due by March 15, 2023.
Unfortunately, the City of Springhill has no choice but to increase the cost for garbage collection service as our contractor Knights Services has raised their price for collection of the garbage for residential and commercial accounts due to the rising cost of landfill disposal charges.
While the costs of providing garbage service to our citizens continues to rise the city can no longer afford to absorb the increase so therefore, we must raise the rate accordingly so that we are not losing money by providing this service to our citizens.
Please remember there are fees added to the City of Springhill Water Bill that have nothing to do with the water and sewer rates that are charged by the City. These fees include $20.00 for Garbage Service which is collected and remitted to Knights Services, $4.00 for Fire Protection which is remitted to Springhill Fire District #11, and $1.00 Other for the Safe Water Drinking Act Fee for testing which is required by the State of Louisiana and remitted to them.
